New 3"cdr - Slow Listener / 14,000,000,000,000

Slow Listener / 14,000,000,000,000
Split 3” Cdr
Edition of 60 copies
£3

There’s been a deficit of Slow Listener releases as of late, so this 3” split on the Bells Hill imprint will be welcome news. Here, Brighton’s Robin Dickinson (he’s Slow Listener btw) steers his music into fifteen minutes of tailored synth abstraction. The edges of “If At First, Don't Succeed” gleam through the roughened tones, and packs much more of a human touch than much of the currently feted drone regurgitators of the magazine and mail-order land.

The other artist here is the currently anonymous 14,000,000,000,000 (that should be billion, unless I’ve fucked reading his/her/their emails and missed out some zeroes) who deal/s in a ragged sampleadelic sea journey through horns, chimes and octopi percussion. Nice title too, try “Fleet Of Burmese Freighters In Oceanic Death Crawl Towards Dragon Funeral” in your pipe.
